THE WEATHER PLOT
(seeking representation)
Sarah Parker is a weather consultant with a rare talent: as a Wind Lord, she can control the wind and use it to alter the weather. She has big plans for her ability, including offering customized weather to her top clients, a yachting company and a family-owned farm in Ventura, California.
Gregor Vane, a powerful Wind Lord recently released from a forty-year-old entrapment that turned him into a seagull, tries to recruit Sarah to use her ability to help him alter the planet’s jet streams, which are high-speed winds in the upper atmosphere. His goal is to protect the Wind Lords' hidden island off the California coast from rising sea levels.
As a wind and weather expert, Sarah realizes Gregor’s scheme could slow climate change -- or it could trigger a tsunami that would cause widespread death and destruction. When she refuses to help Gregor, he kidnaps her eight-year-old daughter, Lainey, who has secretly discovered her own wind-control ability. Secured on the island, Lainey proves eager to join Team Gregor.
Sarah must figure out how – and how not – to use her wind-control ability to stop Gregor and recover Lainey before Gregor’s bat-shit crazy sister turns all the Wind Lords – Gregor, Sarah and Lainey included -- back into seagulls.
