
Marcie Geffner is a freelance journalist, writer, editor, and book critic whose stories have been featured in The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Entrepreneur, U.S. News & World Today, and numerous city newspapers. She's a former managing editor of Inman, a real estate news powerhouse, and senior editor of California Real Estate, a trade association magazine, and has written brand content for financial services companies, including American Express, Discover, Fulton Bank, New York Life, PayPal, and Zillow. Her reporting has been honored with four awards from the National Association of Real Estate Editors and the Society of American Business Editors and Writers. She has contributed book reviews to Publishers Weekly, Kirkus Reviews, and the Washington Independent Review of Books, author profiles to Bookmarks, a magazine for readers, and essays to WriterUnboxed.com. She earned a bachelor's degree with high honors in English from UCLA and an MBA from Pepperdine University. Originally from Los Angeles, she lives in Ventura, California.
