Marcie Geffner is an independent journalist, writer, editor, and book critic, and author of "Mostly Books" on Substack. Her stories have been published by The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Entrepreneur, U.S. News & World Report, Yahoo! Finance, Zillow, Credit Karma, New Home Source, Publishers Weekly, the Washington Independent Review of Books, and The Jewish Writing Project, among others. Her reporting has been honored with four awards, three from the National Association of Real Estate Editors and one from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers. She earned a bachelor's degree in English with high honors at UCLA and a master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) at Pepperdine University. Originally from Los Angeles, she lives in Ventura, California.
